This is fairly a gross post but bare with me a second!
So last month, I got really bad skin. This is nothing new as I always have had bad skin in the past. I had a really bad skin problem back in 2005 and without going into too much detail, it looked like I had open flesh wounds all over me. I recovered in time and well, last month it looked like it was happening again. Except this time it looked like a really bad allergic reaction to something. I had to go to A&E (Which took a lot! As I hate hospitals) at one point as it was spreading to my face, I would wake up in the morning and my eyelids were swollen it was horrid.
Anyhoo, though my face is now…my face, I got told I had eczema, which apparently can happen randomly. Especially if you’re prone to hayfever too.
So I decided last week to partake in the ACV treatment, which is Apple Cider Vinegar and the point of this post isn’t to be some kind of advertisment, but for those like me that suffer/suffered and are searching randomly over the internet to see how you’ve reacted to it as it appears it doesn’t work for all. So I started on Monday and though its not 100% gone its actually looking better, I have marks obviously but its improving a lot. The worse patch was on my leg and though its not gone my skin is finally scabbing (Where it was raw skin) and I can see new skin forming underneath.
I bought myself Aspall’s Organic Cyder Vinegar from a Holland and Barrett and basically drank about a teaspoon of it in a cup of water in the morning and at night, then applied it on affected areas (Not straight up though) so two teaspoons in a bowl of clean water. I read that some people felt stinging, I felt none, either because my skin is so dead it has no feeling (Joke) or because it was too diluted…either way I still have episodes where my skin is itchy as fuck and takes all the willpower in the world not to scratch it, as I seem to get it infected regardless of whether my hands are clean or not. But with the heatwave gone, I did feel secure enough to go out in a short sleeved top.
I guess thats it really, if you’re at your wits end and desperate to just find some relief I do recommend the ACV treatment. I am not saying it is a miracle cure as I have had to make a few lifestyle changes to see what aggravated the flare up. Hence why I have turned ovo lacto vegetarian for a month to see. Everyone reacts differently, so I don’t recommend everyone to do that! But to the ACV I say yes.
Remember to moisturise too -_- !
